Overview

“The Sustainable Development Goals  are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030”. With this purpose, Dialogue Café Association is organising a cycle of debates focused on the SDGs and 2030 Agenda in order to contribute to its achievement and raising awareness.

As young leaders of tomorrow and today, youth has a key role in engaging with the future. Today, there are 1.8 billion people between the ages of 10-24—the largest generation of youth in history. But close to 90 per cent of them live in developing countries. Numbers are expected to grow. Until 2030, about 1.9 billion young people are projected to turn 15 years old.[1] Hence, over the next fifteen years, youth should be a key driver for the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Youth should play the role of critical thinkers, change-makers, innovators, communicators, and leaders.

In this framework, Dialogue Café Association is inviting young leaders to discuss about how best we can achieve SDGs and how young people can be involved in the promotion of the 2030 Agenda. During the session, participants will discuss also about the Youth 2030 Strategy, the World Youth Report “Youth and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and the campaigns launched in this context such as Be the Change, LittlexLittle, Not too Young to Run.
