On 1 January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at an historic UN Summit — officially came into force. Over the next fifteen years, with these new Goals that universally apply to all, countries will mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind. With this purpose, Dialogue Café Association is organising a cycle of debates focused on the SDGs and 2030 Agenda in order to contribute to its achievement and raising awareness. Sessions focused on youth contribution to the 2030 Agenda, Education, Gender Equality and Climate Change are organised under this thematic umbrella.

In this framework, Dialogue Café Association is inviting local authorities, educators, civil society organisations, experts, youth organisations and international organisations to discuss about how best we can achieve SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Participants will share the challenges confronted in their respective countries and good practices related to job creation, workforce, and equal access to quality education – primary, secondary and tertiary or vocational – as well as education for sustainable development.

This session will be held on 26 February from 15h to 17h London time.

Launching Dialogue Café in Asia! 0 Reply

We are glad to announce that Dialogue Café Association and Garion Consulting Group signed yesterday, 7 June 2018, in Lisbon (Portugal), a cooperation agreement aimed at establishing a network of Dialogue Cafés in countries of East and Southeast Asia, such as South-Korea, Cambodia, China, Myanmar and Vietnam.

In this framework a pilot programme of several sessions focused on the Sustainable Development Goals will be organised before 2019.

Garion Consulting Group has a large experience on implementing education programmes through CISCO Telepresence system in cooperation with national authorities and international organisations such as UNDP.

Through this partnership both we, both parties, aim at promoting intercultural dialogue at the global level. We both believe these kinds of conversations can empower individuals and communities, break down prejudice and misconceptions and promote greater understanding and co-operation across cultures.
