Refugee or migrant: what a difference a word can make? 0 Reply

In the framework of the cycle of¬†Global Conversations: ¬ęBuzzing in the media¬Ľ¬†organised in partnership by the¬†Dialogue Cafe Association¬†and the¬†Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), a first session will be held on 14 April (from 15h00 to 16h30 London time) with the aim of analysing if the¬†way refugees are portrayed by media throughout Europe makes a difference when it comes to the public opinion?.

If choosing what vocabulary to use when the conversations are about the migrant crisis is important? What does it means to be a refugee nowadays? and is Europe up to the big challenge of the migrant crisis?
